Content precedes design. Design in the absence of content, is decoration.

OPEN…is the future.
And we’ll probably see it come to the world of advertising & media too - not sure in what form exactly though.

i HATE labels
Why? Why do we have to label people? Especially in advertising. Why does anyone my age have to be a Gen Yer….or my cousin a Gen Xer….or Boomer…or the net generation?
They’re not some sort of a herd that acts, lives, talks alike. Sure, talk about age, talk about behavior.
They’re people. Living, walking, talking people! NOT labels.

Why I love comic books?
The same reason why we all loved illustrated books with fairytales when we were kids (I still love them)
Comics, comic books, graphic novels, webcomics …. whatever the format is - the poetry of images and words coming together that makes them enticing. The way the centerfold captures an entire battle scene (read Kingdom Come) and doesn’t need a single sentence to qualify it.
We...

Does New York Dream?
The Sandman is one of my favorite works of fiction. In ‘World’s End’ there are intertwined stories of reality, dreams and the world in between. One of them talks about cities. Here are a few excerpts.
“Perhaps a city is a living thing. Each city has its own personality, after all.”
“So?”
“So if a city has a personality, maybe it also has a soul....

Kicking Ass in 2010
OK. I’m back.
I’m not a fan of new year resolutions. I’m perfectly content with my weight and when I last checked - all my addiction issues were latent. But…this new year’s eve did feel a bit different. It didn’t prompt me to “resolve” to do something - but filled me with a sense of excited anxiety - in a good way.
There is son much that could, and...
