The very freedom we fought more than a hundred years to keep.I have only one question, is that here any country in the world that is prosperous, with all citizens treated fairly and equally but the government is authoritarian? The answer is an emphatic no. Our fascination with the Chinese growth model must not allow us to question or sacrifice the basic tenets of our constitution and our country itself. India is secular and democratic. That is why despite all other problems, the idea of India works."
